The First Hungarian Reformed Church of Los Angeles invites you to join them for a gala benefit concert on the behalf of the Hungarian Autistic Center from Gyongyos, Hungary. The concert will be held November 12, 2006 at 2:30pm in the assembly hall of the church, at 12717 York Avenue in Hawthorne, CA 90250.

Growing recognition and interest is being given to Autism with the disease reaching near epidemic proportions in the California. It is however not confined within our geographic borders. Even as the United States is struggling to find resources to establish research and scientific solutions to finding the cause and establishing a cure for this disease, the resources are even thinner abroad, especially in Hungary. It will take all our help to fund and support the organizations trying to find the root cause and cure for a disease that affects thousands of children around the world.

One of the leading centers for autism research and treatment in Hungary is the Hungarian Autistic Center in Gyongyos.  We are excited to work with a large group of gifted artists from Hungary and the United States to organize and present a benefit concert of which all proceeds will go to helping this outstanding organization continue itcs critical work.  We will do our part in helping thousands of Hungarian children affected by this disease.

The show will feature world-renowned baritone Sandor Balla, Laszlo Cser, Robert Deak, Emoke Erseki and Andras Maxim.  This talented group will be delivering an exhilarating and diversified assortment of songs from various operas and operettas.

We encou rage sponsorships at the $250, $100 or $50 level.  The price of admission is only $25 or $10 for students. Tickets for a luncheon prepared by master chef, Kovacs Andras are available for $10 before the concert from 12:30 pm.  Langos prepared by Csaba Varsanyi will also be available after the concert.
